Could just a happy face

oil on canvas
~

Could just a happy face
Create ripples in space
And reality begin
With morality within
For birds sing upon my roof
Creating their own eternal truth
So let the little swallow fly
And yesterday’s sorrows die
And infinity will bring
The birds to whistle and sing
And all life will embrace
The beauty and the grace

That is very pretty. There is a claer intelligence behind it but I fear it is veers towards the sentimental. In my opinion that is not a criticism, there is a great need for intelligent and beautiful sentiment in the world, especially when combined with the great respect you show for your subject.

Nick!

My favorite artist is Gian Lorenzo Bernini. I love The Rape of Proserpina and The Ecstasy of St. Theresa. :D

Very fine portrait, Nick.

Gingatao- thanks! intelligence is a funny thing I feel the only difference between a genius and a moron is a moment of time. I want there to be a greater truth in my rhymes in a way everyone creates there own truth.

What a warm and beautiful portrait here which makes me forget at how I am feeling right now.

I like at how you have chosen to used just the earth tones in your art here, came out very nice with the warm colors which also gives this painting a very inviting invitation to come and joined on in with the fun of this portrait.

Your poem also seems to fit this happy face portrat too. Great Work on both the poem and art~! :)
