Let the bubble pop

Mayflower oil on canvas
~

Let the bubble pop

And let the pound drop

For England will be free

Upon the deep blue sea

Free from the Liberal dogs

That brought the foreign gods

Of all that greed and lust

That turns beauty into dust

And we will once again

Stand as British men
~
This poem is dedicated to all those poor souls that have been out in the wind, rain and snow on strike for British jobs for British workers.

Great poem and painting. Somehow we never hear over here, about the people with the concerns you have. Well written.

Both the art and the poetry are a perfect match for each other. Amazing Nick

Sailing Ships has always been my most favorite over all other things...I didn't know of the crisis happening over in Britain on job losses...we here in the USA have been having a huge job lost as well, I guess that is like this in many counties then.

A nice tribute well written.

We had the chance to visit the Mayflower years ago on a trip to the East Coast.

You did it justice!!

Really nice poem too.
