A new year a new war

oil painting in black and white
~

It seems funny to fight
Over such a small piece of land
When we all have infinity
In the palm of our hand

Very true, Nick

The title makes me ask -- Does man fear peace?

i have read that many a times...yet, talk about peace so much...

wishes,
devika

That is so true...great painting and I still like your style, now that I am slowly getting back to life I will need to really get some new fresh inspiring ideals with my art.

I took a deep breath...your painting and words are a beautiful prayer. Thank you Nick :)

The painting is excellent, Nick.
And your words are so true. I think war is the greatest product of human imbecility.

Wow, what a powerful image and poem. Such sad truth in this. Thank you.

This may be my favorite to date!! Love the Shepherd, the lamb and the softness of the painting.
Perfection on canvas. You words....powerful and true.

yes, well done..and I agree with Devika I tend to think of late that people do fear peace and getting along on "one land" than they do war..it would be a huge test of the spirit to behold..to at least try to be at peace with one another, accept our differences, instead of the same ole same ole fighting blah blah blah..

I think it's time for a big "Change" and I think it's going to happen..I do believe it will..I'm a dreamer and always will be.

Hope your New year was happy and hope it continues to be Nick

Blessings,

Rhi
